1972 BMW 3.0CS

According to many automotive designers, The BMW 3.0CS is still one of the finest Grand Touring cars ever built; only 3,700 having been originally imported into the United States. This extraordinary BMW 3.0CS has been lovingly cared for by its current 13 year owner. A California car for its entire life, this BMW 3.0CS is considered a dry bodied example. This is regarded by all experienced coupe owners as a very important quality in that it has remained free of rust or corrosion, the greatest enemy of these Karmann bodied BMW's. The car is finished in original Fjord Blue with black Connelly leather hides and black Wilton wool carpets. The car is equipped with factory A/C, sunroof and rare rear window shade option. The car is also equipped with power windows and original Becker radio. Numerous upgrades have been performed, making the car a far better driver than it was when new. Up grades consist of: 3.5 litre engine fitted with dual weber carburetion. 5 speed ZF manual gearbox replacing the factory automatic. 16 BBS alloy wheels, Hella Halogen low and high beam headlamps, Bilstein HD gas shocks, sport springs, and HD sway bars. High performance radiator, 9 blade fan and modern fan clutch. Recent Mechanical maintenance performed: Rear brake calipers, rotors and rear brake pads. Stainless Steel brake lines, New sunroof and other key body seals replaced. Center steering link replaced, Suspension alignment, Speedometer and odometer overhauled, Windshield and washer motor. Rear Sub-frame and sub-frame bushings. BBS wheels refinished.
