This 1968 Ford Mustang 2+2 Fastback has undergone an extensive restoration, with even the smallest detail receiving attention. All new body seals, fender shields, weather stripping, rebuilt door hinges, window seals, window mechanisms rebuilt with new rollers, heater box restored with new core, hoses, blower, gas tank resealed, new backup and tail light bezels, lenses and seals. Everything works as new, from the all the exterior/interior lighting, to the horn, wipers, defroster and air conditioning. The exterior was completely primed and sealed with urethane prior to the new Red Fire Metallic paint finish with Silver Pearl Ghost GT Stripes. To complement the already popular Mustang styling, the car was fitted with functional Shelby GT350 Hood, Shelby GT350 Billet Grill, functional Upper and Lower Shelby Side Scoops, Shelby Front Spoiler and Shelby Rear Deck Lid with Spoiler. The complete interior done May 2007 is all new from the dash with white faced gauges, door panels, armrests, headliner, package shelf, sun visors, carpet and AM/FM/CD Changer. Again, everything was refinished and works from all the lighting to climate controls, including the clock. The 302 V8 was professionally rebuilt and assembled with mild cam, Holly Street Avenger Intake/Carb, Flamethrower Coil/Distributor, MSD Wiring, 4-Core Radiator and finished off with Shelby Cobra Valve Covers. The C4 Automatic Transmission with overdrive complements and completes this drivetrain. The finishing touch is a brand new set of Vintage 5 Spoke Mag Wheels and Tires which sets off the wonderful stance this Mustang has, which enabled the car to win 1st overall at the MCA National Show in Concord CA. in June of this year.
