The Ford Deluxe was fully restyled for 1939 and the 1940 model was even prettier, so much so, that the Deluxe model has long been a coveted collectible.

This 1940 Ford Deluxe was built as a true period correct nostalgia hot rod, powered by a 276 cubic inch Ford flathead V8, model number 59AB, considered by most standards, the best flathead Ford V8 produced.

Offenhauser Heads that have been ported and relieved along with hardened steel seats and heavy duty valve springs. The engine is topped-off with 3X2 barrel carburetors and the 2 speed Columbia rear end allows for excellent cruising at highway speeds.

Wheels are original style, widened steel wheels with trim ring and small cap, riding on wide whitewall radial tires.

This Deluxe is an older frame-off restoration with powered coated frame and is finished in a very striking Dark Cherry Metallic paint with LeBonney beige interior.
